I made it to the Island! After a 24-hour flight delay, a night in Gatwick and about 8 lattes from Jamie's Italian bistro, we're here - and Antigua is paradise.
I mean, it WOULD be paradise, but so far it's rained non-stop. But it's okay because it's hot and there's unlimited cocktails and the room is a dreamy mix of white sheets and giant bathtubs. I'm in heaven.

So why am I here? I'm writing a travel piece on St James Club Antigua and Kuoni (they tailor make exclusive holidays for you - click here to drool over their locations). Which means this week I'll be testing out some gorgeous spa treatments, water sports, and naturally the buffet. All of the buffet.

SO we missed a day of hols because BA had a problem on our flight (I nearly cried until they gave me coffee vouchers, then we were friends again). But you should see the room I'm in, actually I'll show you it tomorrow, but I feel like I'm in heaven. And today I've caught up on magazines, did some Instagramming, had a cocktail (or 2..3) by the pool, then dodged the tropical rain showers with endless cups of teas.

Here's my photo diary for you to have a nosey at...
Stripe top: £12 New Look, Shorts: Topshop denim (old stock), Tassel Bag: £30 Limited Edition by Atmosphere (I LOVE it - such a bargain).
See further down for the info on these summer essentials
It's cloudy, but this little dock will be my sunbathing station.
Some Instagram-worthy steps to the beach
I've taken quite a few beauty bits away with me to try out and I used the Nars Monoi Body Glow £45, last night, before I went out to dinner, and I'm in love. It's even better than my favourite Nuxe shimmer oil, and that really is saying something. It's nourishing, gives such a pretty bronze glow - but without you looking shiny - and the smell really makes me think of sunshine and sand. Give it a go on your holidays because I guarantee even if it rains for you too, it'll give you a sneaky bronzed look!

I'm going to do a full post on the MUA velvet lip lacquer shown in the same picture, because the range is one of my favourites out. Stay tuned for that one.

Have you been to Antigua? I'd love to know any recommendations - on food or places to see. Let me know and I'll tag you in my photo when I go x
