MARIA NILA: MY NEW FAVOURITE SWEDISH (VEGAN) HAIRCARE BRAND

I don't have favourites when it comes to styling products..okay, that's a lie, I do. But it's usually something I've been using for a while - so when I picked up this haircare range from Maria Nila, I wasn't expecting to be as obsessed with it as I am.
I say range, but what I'm showing you in this post are five of their best styling products. We'll get to that in a minute. If you want a little bit of background on the brand first, here it is:

They're Swedish and come with around 40 years of haircare knowledge (which is probably why they're SO good). Everything gets made at their plant in Helsingborg, and they've signed up with the Vegan Society and PETA - so the products are all vegan-friendly and have caused no harm to animals. Everything is sulphate and paraben-free, too.

Right, where were we? Oh yes, styling products. While they offer different ranges for different hair types, what I've got here are products in the styling category, that you can use after shampooing and conditioning. If you want to know my thoughts on them, have a read!

MARIA NILA CREAM HEAT SPRAY // £18.98 (only one size)

I've really started using heat protectant religiously now, because I style my hair so often. Since I've been spraying this on my ends, they've felt a lot less dry - and hold curls really nicely - as in, they fall into soft waves, which I like. Also amazing if you're out sunbathing because it just protects it from UV rays. If you need any more convincing, it even has a colour guard complex, to keep your colour bright.

MARIA NILA SALTY CREAM // £18.98 (only one size)

I like this, though it's probably my least used of the five - mainly because I don't have naturally curly hair, and this is perfect if you do. It's a finishing cream that defines and holds curls, while giving your ends a slightly beachy texture. I prefer it much much more to a salt spray, because it doesn't go crispy (seriously, I don't like crispy hair). If you're naturally curly-haired and need a holiday hair hero,  try this.

MARIA NILA DRY SHAMPOO // £18.98 (full sized)

So I'm not really a big big fan of dry shampoo. I'd rather have greasy roots than put a whole load of powder on them, and then it look powdery and feel gross. There have been two that I have tried which have made me change my mind - the Pantene invisible spray one, and this. I like the smell, the texture is nice, and it doesn't show on my dark roots.

MARIA NILA STYLING SPRAY // £18.98 (full sized)

This, I am in love with. It's the best hairspray I've ever used, because it doesn't make my hair feel crispy, it smells amazing (not chemically like a lot of them), and it holds while still making my hair feel soft. A hairspray that does the job AND makes my hair feel nice. I've been waiting for this my whole life (well, almost). Even better, the can is massive, so it lasts!

MARIA NILA FINISHING SPRAY // £8.99 (travel sized)

My second favourite of the styling products is this. In fact, it's almost up there with the styling spray. I use this when I really want a style to last, because even a tiny bit locks your hair into whatever position you want it to stay in. If you like to tong your hair then finish off with some of this, because it doesn't make the curls fluffy, but it keeps them looking defined. I adore.

You can pick up the products mentioned here at Sally stores or in salons nationwide. I really recommend giving them a go, especially the styling spray! What do you think? Did you already know about them?x
