Winky Lux's new Flower PH Balm review

I know, I know, I go on about lipsticks all the time. I just love them. But I can honestly say I haven't been as excited at something I can shove on my lips as these new colour balms from Winky Lux.
If you haven't seen them before then these have been taking the blogging world by storm. They might look like clear coloured balms with some cute little flowers in, but what they do is MUCH more clever. They change colour as soon as they touch your lips.

What is this magic, you ask? It's nothing too complicated - their formula just reacts to the PH and moisture of your lips and tints them to your very own unique shade of pink. So no one will get the exact same colour as you because, well, they don't have your exact lips.

These aren't the very first of their kind - I know a US brand launched a very similar looking product before these came out. But they are the first to be sold over here in the UK, and Asos have the exclusive on them.

You can get a set of three with a little gold makeup bag for £20 here on Asos, which I think is a sweet deal. They do make really lovely presents for anyone with a mild obsession with beauty. I gave one to my mum last week and she can't get enough of it!

If the colour-changing aspect doesn't make you go 'HOLY CRAP', then this might. They actually are very nice lip balms. They have a coconut infused formula, they make your lips look healthy, and my lips have felt much softer and hydrated since I swapped my matte lipsticks in favour of these. The packaging is nice, and they look amazing in photographs.

Above is the close-up shots of the three different coloured flower balms. They do the same thing, so it's not like you get a different shade of pink depending on the colour of flower you choose. But if you're anything like me, then you'll be using these up so quickly you're going to be thankful that you have another two spare!

Here's what it looks like on...

What do you think - will you be giving them a go?
