Lancôme Cushion Blush Subtil review & shade swatch

I've been pretty set in my ways for a while, and haven't really strayed from powder blushers. I don't know why, I think I just assumed they were easier to blend and control.
But since everyone has been launching cushion formulas (YSL, L'Oreal, Estee Lauder...), I thought it was time I strayed from my trusty powder and blusher brush - and if I was going to pick any liquid blush to start off with, there's no better choice than these beautiful new ones from Lancôme.

These new blushers have been created by Lisa Eldridge (total make-up queen), so when I heard about their launch, I knew it would be perfect - from the shades to the texture. The whole point to them is that they feel light and airy, and the finish on the skin isn't powdery or cakey, but sheer and subtle. Think of it like a really fresh glow, with a juicy - slightly dewy - finish.

- There's 6 shades of peachy and rose-toned blushers in the range (I'm showing shade Rose Givrée)
-The mini puff applicator comes in the pot
- The colour is buildable and very blendable
- Tap lightly on the cushion dispenser for a small amount of colour, and press harder for a more saturated look.
- Long-lasting colour that brightens the skin

Shade: Rose Givrée (22)

When I first used it, I thought there would be a ton of product on the sponge, because the formula of the blush is quite wet. But even if you do get too much on it, you can just tap it really lightly onto your skin and gradually blend it in. And I do agree, it is buildable, and layering it is easy. I love the final look - it isn't glossy, but it makes my skin look fresher and healthier. And as much as I still love my powders, I can actually see that this blusher does compliment my foundation better, because they blend together better than a powder blush and a liquid foundation.

All-in-all I'm totally sold. Now, I just need the five other shades!

Have a lovely weekend beauties, and as always, if you have any questions just ping them over and I'll get right back to you.
