Stila Star Light Star Bright Highlighting Palette review

Too soon to be excited for christmas (never)? Okay, well maybe for now we can all just sit back and stare at the festive beauty that is this new trio highlighter palette from Stila.
It's not the first star I've seen launched in the past month, because there have been some serious contenders (see my top christmas beauty picks post coming up later next week), but it is definitely bright and beautiful!

Well, as far as a palette can be anyway.

I have to say, Stila isn't a brand I would normally go out of my way to buy. Mainly because it tends to be on the pricey side, and I didn't previously think that the quality of their products was any better than Nars - who I would rather splash out on. But I've been using more and more of their products as of late, and this palette from their christmas collection is quite literally, a highlight for me.

- x3 shades: A champagne pink, a subtle rose gold and a copper
- Long-lasting powder finish
- Subtle shimmer effect
- Packaged a mirrored compact
- Each shade has light diffusing particles
- Wear the shades alone or layer together on top of each other

You can probably see that my swatch shot isn't doing the shades any justice, but I promise you, when the light hits your face, these highlighters kick up such an amazing glow (see my selfie below!)
I would normally go for a standard champagne colour, like the first shade is, but I was surprised by how much I loved the copper. I've started adding a bit over the top of my bronzer, and it just cheats a really nice sunkissed effect.

I also like that they are powders, because as much as I have really tried with liquid highlighters, I still prefer the layering I can get when they're in powder form - so these are good. I also have very oily skin and I find that the extra powder finish means it doesn't look quite so shiny.

Overall, I'm giving it a massive thumbs up, and I think quite a few of us girls will be adding it to our lists this Christmas!

Have you tried Stila before - what do you think? I'd love to know if you have any favourites I can try.
