A quick look at the new bareMinerals GEN Nude lip collection

bareminerals Gen Nude lip collection review
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE nude lipsticks? Once or twice. And my dreams have come true with this about-to-launch lip range from bareMinerals.
I've tried plums, pinks and reds but no matter what - a nude lipstick is always my first pick. I've been looking for a really great nude for a long time, and I've come close. Kat Von D's Everlasting liquid lip in shade Bow n Arrow is the closest I've got to perfection, but when I went to the launch for this bareMinerals range, I knew I was going to find something good.

And I was right. This isn't just a nude lipstick - no, no. This range has SIXTY shades of nudes in three different textures, and a five lip liners thrown in for good measure.
The textures you can pick from are: buttercream lipgloss (15 shade choices), radiant lipstick (20 shade choices) and liquid matte (20 shade choices).

I haven't snapped all 60 because, well, that's a lot. So I've picked a few shades from each of the textures to show you a little more about their finish/effect etc..

Buttercream Lipgloss

// A smooth gloss with a surprising amount of pigment. It feels comfortable to wear, and not as sticky as some glosses can be. They're seriously high-shine, and there's plenty of colour choices. //

Shades from top to bottom: Sugar, Must Have, Heartbreaker
Shades from left to right: Sugar, Must Have, Heartbreaker

Radiant Lipstick

// A light, creamy lipstick in nudes ranging from very pale to mauve. They feel really soft, and they give a better shine than most other pigmented lipsticks. //
Shades from left to right: Tutu, Crush, Mantra

Shade: Tutu

Liquid Matte

// Unlike so many mattes, the texture of these is light and airy, and almost feels like a mousse. The fine applicator tip means it's easy to use without a lipliner and still get a good, smudge-free line. //
Shades from left to right: , Friendship, Juju

This collection isn't out just yet, but it will be rolling out into department stores and bareMinerals online from next month. The matte colours and glosses will cost £17 each, the radiant lipstick £18, and the lip liners will be £14.

My favourite picks

Left to right: Heartbreaker lipgloss, Mantra lipstick, Juju matte lipstick

If I don't speak to you all before, then have an amazing NYE and happy 2017!
