My Christmas home & beauty gift guide

This time last year I hadn't launched my blog yet, so I didn't get to do a Christmas round-up of some of the pretty things I was sent and bought. This year there are lots of amazing beauty buys to pick from, but I've managed to narrow it down to seven favourites.
Two of them are homeware - because I've got such an interiors obsession at the moment, and my Christmas wish list wouldn't be complete without at least one mini potted cactus!

I'll get right to it - on my list this year is...

* bareMinerals The Wish List Palette, £39
* Fresh Cocoa Body Exfoliant, £36
* Pur 10th Anniversary Edition Pressed Mineral Makeup, £30
* New Look Rose Gold Metallic Potted Plant & Tealight Holder, £6.99 each
* YSL Top Secrets Instant Moisture Glow, £34
* Twiggy Lily Blossom Candle, £9.50

I don't even need to explain why this would make a great present, just look at it! The packaging it sparkly and it looks so pretty. It's not a small palette, and you get a huge mirror inside as well. The shades are gorgeous too, and I love the mix of highlighting nudes to dark plums and browns. It's a palette for the whole year and not just Christmas.

2. Cocoa Scrub

I almost always ask for a really gorgeous, luxe body care set at Christmas, just because I have the time over the holidays to really have a good pamper. This year, fresh launched their cocoa body range and it's the thing of dreams. I don't think they've put any miniatures into a set yet, which is a little bit disappointing, but then again it's a brand new range so maybe next year they will. For now, this big tub of chocolatey scrub will do. If you want super soft skin that smells like melted chocolate, this is for you!

3.  PUR 10th anniversary compact

You might think a pot of powder won't make an especially interesting gift, but this one really does. It's coated in bling, and I genuinely really do love the actual product inside. My sister swears by Pur Minerals, and she asks for a compact every year, and this special edition one is going to make her very excited. For those who don't really like the feel of thick foundation, this powder has great coverage and is very good for swiping on after the gym or in the day as it won't clog your pores.

I can't have a round-up without adding in a little bit of rose gold. Okay a LOT of rose gold. I really love all the metallic homeware accessories around at the moment, and New Look have got some really lovely pieces. I went the other morning and picked these two up, as well as a matching pair of fluffy grey cushions and a pin-board map print. These two were both just over a fiver each and any accessory lover would appreciate them under their tree.

So YSL has a new collection out called 'Top Secret' and it's meant to be a skincare range for make-up lovers - think highlighting, brightening and smoothing but in skincare form. This Moisture Glow is my favourite so far. It's a moisturiser that keeps skin hydrated for 72hours, but gives an all-over glow at the same time. They say it has the blurring effect of a foundation, and it really does! It won't cover blemishes but if you're having a no-makeup day then you can instantly lift your skin by applying soa bit of this. It's kind of like a primer, but with the benefits of a moisturiser. Clever and very nice to unwrap!

Everyone loves a candle - mums, siblings, grandparents - EVERYONE. I always get asked for them, and any extra I get sent, I take home and cover most surfaces of my flat with them. This year there have been some beautiful ones to pick from, but this monochrome one is affordable and pretty. I'm putting it into a hamper for my nan this year because I know she loves the smell of lilies.

So there it is! That's what I'm loving this Christmas. I'll probably do an updated post about some of the beauty box sets on offer, so make sure you follow me on Bloglovin' or sign up to my newsletter! You can do both from the side panel on my home page.

Thanks beauties x
