YSL Volupté Tint-in-Balm spring lip collection

So I went to the launch for these new lipsticks last week, and I can't get over them. I have about four in my handbag (not tryin' to make you jeal), and they're SO dreamy.
Actually the whole launch was dreamy. It was at an art gallery just off Oxford Street, and when you walked into the room there was this giant 'YSL' neon pink sign. There was also a white wall where you could paint kisses and lipstick on.

But the whole point of the day was to show off these new hybrid lipstick/balms.

Do you remember, a while ago YSL brought out their Volupté Tint-in-Oils? They caught on to the whole lip oil trend pretty early on and they did really well over here. Well, to continue on with that success they've decided to expand the Volupté range to give us ladies something we're all looking for - a sheer pop of colour with the comfortable feel of a balm.

Though I've seen a ton of matte lipsticks launching for the SS17 season, it's still a little 'last year' with the whole Kylie Jenner craze. And honestly, I've kind of gone off matte lipsticks a little bit because I prefer a more dewy effect on my skin and lips. Which is why I'm so in love with these - I don't have to compromise on colour, but I still get the whole comfortable balm feel.

Shade: Dare me plum 5
Shade: Touch me red 6
Shade: Dream me nude 1

The formula

- A melting 2-in-1 formula
- The outer layer gives you a balmy finish while the inner heart gives your lips a pop of colour
- The more you apply the lipstick, the more intense the colour build up
- The end result is a 'just bitten' glow
-There's 12 shades ranging from a mauve and a red to a barely-there nude

I think my favourite thing about this lipstick is that it really does melt as soon as it touches your lips - and it's so so comfortable to wear. I would say that when you're choosing from the shades, be prepared for them to look a lot lighter on your lips. On their packaging, they look like really bold shades, but the effect is a very sheer version. Which is good, because it means you can try a brighter colour without getting a super intense finish.

I need to check the exact price, but they'll be retailing for about £26 when they launch next month. I can't wait to pick up some more shades!
